The Plaza Hotel & Casino is owned by the Tamares Group but PlayLV leases and operates the venue. On their website, the Plaza Hotel & Casino owners boast that this venue is the perfect precursor to the Freemont Street Experience – the world-famous shopping mega-mall that dominates downtown Vegas.
With the completion of a US$ 35 million remodelling and expansion project that commenced in 2010, the Plaza Hotel & Casino now has a contemporary look and feel, with much of its décor and furnishings acquired at auction from the Fontainebleau Resort when its construction was halted in 2011.
As mentioned, there are 1 037 guestrooms and suites at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, with an average size of 325 square feet. All the basic amenities are included in the Plaza Hotel & Casino rooms. These include king- or queen-sized beds, 32” TVs with cable and pay-per-view access, combination safes, and en-suite bathrooms.
Plaza Hotel & Casino guest may also make special requests for an additional fee and one of which is to have a room on a higher floor with a choice of three views – Mountain, Freemont and Vegas.

Included in the Plaza Hotel & Casino gaming area are the aforementioned 8000-square-foot casino floor – featuring over 500 slots and a host of table games – as well as a dedicated race and sportsbook.
